The Department of Veterinary Services provides public good and related services to the livestock industry for the creation and maintenance of an environment and capacities conducive to the enhancement of production, productivity and competitiveness of livestock and animal products.
The Department of Veterinary Services is an arm of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development that was established to provide services and facilitate the development and coordination of the livestock sector towards sustainable food and nutritional security, employment and economic growth.
